Any specialists in the field of "Trip-Hop"?
Not sure I understand how this type of music ever came about.
I like Tricky and Portishead, but I'm trying to expand my horizons into dark uncharted territory.
Videos are a plus, but uploads are hugely appreciated.

Massive Attack of course. Some of Björk's earlier stuff too as a lot was produced by Tricky. Check the albums Debut and Post. Also a lot of UNKLE and some Leftfield too. Even some DJ Shadow. He used to be in UNKLE.
I still play the Sneaker Pimps Becoming X album a lot. They got rid of Kelli and now Chris Corner does all the singing, it's still quite good but I'm more into female vocals. Kelli Dayton has some solo projects going on with releases on One Little Indian still that are pretty good. A lot of it is more folk type electronica though, but since I know you are into folk inspired female singers as well, check her out:

Krush is DOPE, I've seen him play, AWESOME DJ and Producer! Met a long term Girlfriend at one of his shows, in fact.
Massive Attack is a name I know, but I've never gone too deep into their work.
Considering how amazing the new Massive Attack/Burial 12" is, I'm about to dive DEEP into their retrospective.
If anyone has any TripHop Mixes, I would love to have a listen.
