Last fall THE RIZO and BWOMP! got together to bring you the first annual BASS GARDEN. The booming bass, immense lighting, live art, and vast greenery were the perfect elements to create an epic and memorable night. This November RIZO joins forces with I LOVE LA to bring you the second installment of this heavy bass night amidst a combination of green visual wonderment, state of the art lighting and live paintings.

RUN DMT began as an experiment in sonic debauchery in the summer of 2010 between veteran producers Parson and Lemiwinks. Fusing influences ranging from dubstep, dnb, rock, trip hop, psychadelic, and punk, the duo began creating a new kind of dance music, focused on no-holds-barred maximized bass and and pounding beats. While RUN DMT runs the gammet of styles, their sound is always sure to make the... listener move in both body and mind. APX 1, A Los Angeles Born & Raised Dj/Producer who has been involved with the L.A. Underground Scene for over 10 years now. Primarily known for his own unique rough sound & west coast influenced Hip Hop style of Drum n Bass. In 1997 APX 1 started his own artist management company Revolution which was the leading West Coast Drum & Bass Roster. Roster included talents of R.A.W., CURIOUS, HIVE, LION, APX 1, MC QUESTION MARK, and MC DAPPA D. APX 1 has performed at some of Southern Californias record breaking massives, including Monster Massive, Together As One, Rewind, Guerilla Warfare, and The Cypress Hill Smokeout, including every underground venue for jungle that Los Angeles has to offer. In 1999 Apx 1 co-founded Herbn' Music along with partner Dj Curious which featured ragga influenced jungle music. Which became an imprint for los angeles ragga drum n bass. During this year Apx 1 alongside Raw and Curious toured the entire country. Well over 30 States were toured during just this one year.
In 2001 Apx 1 took all of his reggae/hip hop knowledge and put it to work on his own drum n bass label Ghetto Life Recordings along with Ghetto Life Clothing. 1st release was ground breaking for the hip hop/jungle scene. Along with fellow producer SUBFLO a masterpiece was born. Blending the rough gangsta filled lyrics of West Coast Connection with a monstrous amen laced track that took the U.S. by storm. Some of Ghetto Life Recordings dj's and producers include CRS?, BASIS, DIRECT FEED, SLYTEN, and IRAY. During his career Apx 1 has released a catalogue of mixtapes and mixed cd's that continues to grow. 2006 was a groundbreaking year for Ghetto Life and Tonz of Drumz. During this year both Curious and Apx1 packed full of merchandise embarked on a tour. HERBN' IN DA GHETTO TOUR included states on both coasts of the United States. The tour also included a date in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Now Apx 1 along with partner Curious have become a pair of the top promoters with Tonz of Drumz in Los Angeles. With a Saturday DayParty Monthly called "I LOVE L.A." APX 1 has become one of the most booked artists in Los Angeles. He has now become one of the Resident Dj's at the World Famous House of Blues on Sunset in Hollywood. APX 1 has made an impact in the Hip Hop Community and has Opened for JAY-Z, CYPRESS HILL, SNOOP DOGG, KATT WILLIAMS, and On New Years Eve was the opening act for NAS. Dj Curious Born and raised in Los Angeles . CRS? has been in the music world all his life. His father before him being a recording engineer at one of L.A.’s top studio of the times “The Sound Factory” in Hollywood he was practically born in the studio. He started on drums at the age of 8 which so happened to be the same year he was first fascinated with the art of Dj’ing. At age 13 he received his first pair of turntables and hasn’t put then down since. He has spun in almost every city in North America and has released records all over the world. Including numerous tracks on his own “Herbn’ Music” as well as fellow label mate APX1’s Ghetto Life label. Also being signed to Top Cat's 9 Lives label based out the UK. He produced the hit single "Jah vibes" for Tenor Fly he shows his skills as a producer as well as a dj. CRS? has released over 500 mix-tapes since getting into the drum and bass scene over 18 years ago.
His current projects include producing and engineering hip-hop artist Big Bam the Boss an official DPG member and has performed in L.A., Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Portland, Miami, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Hawaii and have opened up for such artists as Goldie, DJ Hype, Roni size, Kenny Ken, Grooverider, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Dj Zinc, Taxman, Brian Gee, J.J. ASHTROBOT is a producer and RIZO resident DJ, born and raised in Redondo Beach CA. Ash Riser found his true calling of writing and performing at a young age. With the local success of his last group PISTOL PISTOL they released two records between 07, and 09. The entity known as ASHTROBOT (sounded out just ash-tro-bot) has a fine-tuned skill for maximizing delayed gratification within the scope of his productions. He isn't scared to go all-out-grimey but his own kingdom is Purple and there he lounges on a throne of bass, rhythm and melodies. This 21-year-old next level space creature didn't come to his present status instantaneously - it's been a road of musical diversity. Ash founded D.R.E.A.M. (Dubstep Rules Everything Around Me) Brigade in December 2009, which evolved into an underground independent label. Their EP “21st Century Electric Church Music” dropped on iTunes in July which such contenders as Polymer Drone, Chris Loren, The SUBshockers, Homage, and ASHTROBOT himself. Jafar began generating his own productions at 19, and the passion in his music was instantly palpable. Influenced by his favorite artist, DJ Shadow, Jafar’s roots are strong in down tempo and IDM, however after establishing 6ix:Twelve Productions in 2007 with his best friend, dance and electronic mixes were the first exclusive mash-ups and original scores to be released. Almost instantly the focus, as well as the studio expanded, inspiring gigs and parties from clubs to warehouses to music festivals all over southern California. By 2009, Jafar’s resume expanded to include playing a vast variety of venues such as Avalon, Detroit Bar, the Geisha House, Sutra, Chateaux, Envy Lounge, and 944 Magazine events, as well as placing high in the rankings of an array of remix contests.
In 2010 the Drone was signed to Dubwar and was playing such gigs as The Elbo Room in San Francisco, he was called out to the desert to play an unexpected yet demanded 3 hour set at Mecca. His first single as The Polymer Drone, “Dirty Little Secret,” was released in 2010.
In early 2011 he had two more releases, “This Sound” and “Cape Town Slang.” He has now been signed to two more labels, Play Me Too and Dubline and now a resident DJ on THE RIZO roster.

Joseph is Los Angeles native whose roots lie in Drum & Bass but also expand to Dubstep. Jahwy is no new comer to the local bass scene, he has thrown down heavy sets at some LA’s favorite events such as I LOVE LA, LOCKED, BOUNCE, & MERGE to name a few. Influenced by his favorite artist, DJ Shadow, Jafar’s roots are strong in down tempo and IDM, however after establishing 6ix:Twelve Productions in 2007 with his best friend, dance and electronic mixes were the first exclusive mash-ups and original scores to be released. Almost instantly the focus, as well as the studio expanded, inspiring gigs and parties from clubs to warehouses to music festivals all over southern California. By 2009, Jafar’s resume expanded to include playing a vast variety of venues such as Avalon, Detroit Bar, the Geisha House, Sutra, Chateaux, Envy Lounge, and 944 Magazine events, as well as placing high in the rankings of an array of remix contests.
In 2010 the Drone was signed to Dubwar and was playing such gigs as The Elbo Room in San Francisco, he was called out to the desert to play an unexpected yet demanded 3 hour set at Mecca. His first single as The Polymer Drone, “Dirty Little Secret,” was released in 2010.
In early 2011 he had two more releases, “This Sound” and “Cape Town Slang.” He has now been signed to two more labels, Play Me Too and Dubline and now a resident DJ on THE RIZO roster.

Joseph is Los Angeles native whose roots lie in Drum & Bass but also expand to Dubstep. Jahwy is no new comer to the local bass scene, he has thrown down heavy sets at some LA’s favorite events such as I LOVE LA, LOCKED, BOUNCE, & MERGE to name a few. He also has performed many times on THE REVOLUTION SHOW on Deep Rooted Radio. Jahwy’s sets expend the realms of bass music with expert mixing and unique style. His mixing ability and track selection have made him a favorite in the local bass circuit.
