So, who is that artist you've been listening to for years? Are you pretty sure you one of the only peeps to hear about them..?

This thread is for just that - post a tune / video by an artist (or of a track) you think people on here may not know about.

Here's a couple from me. I've been into these for a good 6 or so years. some of the best down tempo / chilled out stuff I own IMO.

This one is a bit more recent. Still dope though.

Beautiful tune all the way through, but from 7:00 it's just pure bliss.

A couple of tunes from Vienna's brilliant group Sofa Surfers essential 1999 album "Cargo".........dark Jazz fused with menacing rolling dubbed out basslines and incredible drumming......

Possibly the most mental piano playing ever! A re-arrangement of a familiar classic by one of the greatest living pianists. This is a solo piece by the way :W:

Also, no-one seems to have ever heard of this, and it's possibly one of the greatest pieces of music ever written:

Listen to it all the way through. The way the main opening theme gets subtly woven in and out is genius, as is the change from major to minor at 6:24... and the way it crescendo's towards the end from about 7 mins on is absolutely mind blowing.

in the same mind set. this is my favorite classical piece. Everything tchaikovsky is made great. And it switches between major and harmonic minor (also a bit of personal nastalgia because I played trombone and this is the only song we ever played in orchestra where the trombones had a major role.)

and this one is always a classic as well.

Sooo glad OPN has been getting more attention lately. His new album was great, though I do have a soft spot for his older stuff. Anything off the Rifts compilation....

Out to the classical music fans!

This is my favourite classical piece (in 2 parts):

I read and article once where someone described this piece not just as the greatest piece of music ever written, but one of humanity's greatest achievements. I would tend to almost agree with that. It's absolutely heartbreaking, no other piece of music has ever moved me in the same way as this does (particularly the first half).

Bach's Cello suites are well worth checking out as well. Jian Wang's performance (on Deutsche Grammophon) would be my pick of the recordings.
