Hey I have a quick question Im going to be playing a show soon at a venue and some of my songs I have purchased and I know are full good quality but some Iv riped from the Internet and have herd that playing low quality songs like at 128 kbps will distort on big systums? Any input would be great on how big of a system will be distorted by low quality and how this all works.
Thanx in advance-

i would highly advise against playing anything lower than 320kbs mp3's. You will hear the mud of a 128 and not in a good way. Plus if your playing good quality into shit quality it really will sound amateurish an defiantly not ideal.

i usually rage on Yorkvilles/QSC/Mackie. Maybe im just a quality snob (probably lol). I can tell the difference quite easily and if i was in the crowd i would be able to tell and it would make me have a sad face thats all. I hope it goes well though man and if you dont think it has mattered in the past then dont listen to me....

If you can't afford to DJ, don't take up the hobby...
Theres various other digital retailers like Juno Records, Boomkat, Chemical Records.
Don't rip music from the internet and then ask here if it'll sounds shit or not. You shouldn't pirate music spesh from the scene which has only started to get a decent amount of commercial exposure in the last 2 years or so.
If you're getting paid for a gig and playing youtube rips then the world is f'd up cause I struggle to get gigs and purchase all my music.
Rant over and thread locked.. We don't condone youtube rippers here. If you bought the music you wouldn't have a problem.
Its a system too.
