Posted the tune in my sig in the wip section of production forum. Had some great feedback and stuff I can take and use in my production. But it was all monumentally overshadowed by this batty dribble:

. You know what, I know there's this huge unending debate between the bros and the normal people but seriously, I've genuinely had enough of them. It pisses me off no end that people like Skream and Benga, people that got me hooked on this new emerging sound back in the days and really left me feeling excited are now shitting all over us. And it gets worse, we complain about it to them and they slate us for it but I think people like plastician, benga, ntype (to an extent), Skream and the other culprits owe us a fucking explenation.
I know what the explanation is, money but, it'd be really nice to hear those guys admit that they have sold out.
I am genuinely hurt by their actions. They created something so unique, so good, it was genuinely a brilliant thing and they built up this emotion in the hearts of people this sense of real musical revolution. Then they go and tear it all down with the donkey sperm they are playing and making nowadays. I feel ripped off big time. And it is entirely their faults that this tweenybopper left a comment like that on my wip. Fuck him and fuck them.

Tl;dr? I'm having a moan, you know the one...that one that has become almost as big a cliche as dr p.

Now, so that this thread serves more of a purpose than just gratifying me, lets discuss what we can do about it. We can change these things. A few heads started it all off, i'm sure a few more heads can change it for the better.
This place must be full of promoters, dj's and producers who have contact with these criminals. Boycott them, fuck the money, fuck the negative rep you'll get for shunning them. Fuck it all. I think we should kidnap skream, place him in a small room with a funktion one, and a hard chair, tie him to it and play: bass cannon on repeat untill he realises what he has become.

Fell for it? Nah, wasn't after getting more listens or owt! lol part of that rant is all about the ego's of these bropushing field mice. Aint after an ego increase so people, I aint doing this thread to get more listens on my track, I already posted it in production forum and secretninjadubs. So this is strictly a thread for us to vent our frustrations. I know there's people here feeling pretty angry about the situation too.

The "real" heads realise there is enough room for all styles of dubstep and music in general.
They also don't have a bad case of "small back pocket" syndrome.

I think it's unfair to criticise Skream for the music he's produced at any time. Yea, a lot of it is shit by the standards of 5 or so years ago but most people ignore it because they know that Skream always tried to move with the time.

It's almost like listening to one of his sets, you know its not going to be a mixing masterclass but the one thing it will be is a masterclass in how to read an audience. This perception of what most people want to hear is what the guy is damn good at. We shouldn't begrudge him the success.

Can't say I agree with the aggression you're directing at these guys... Nobody has the right to judge their choices or motives for said choices, nor could anybody who hasn't been there say with 100% accuracy they would have chosen differently.

Putting the artist hate aside though, I absolutely could not agree more. As somebody who, bar the prodigy and a very limited selection of d&b, couldn't have cared less about electronica, getting into dubstep phenomenally changed my understanding of EDM and even helped me to recognise/appreciate depth and nuances in all music I listen to.

It always makes me feel quite melancholy when I compare the stuff coming out at the moment to back then and realise, no matter how good the music is now, it just doesn't invoke the same feelings the old stuff did. (kryptic minds, for example, comes about the closest for me, but just isn't the same.) But at the same time, I accept that everybody and everything changes over time and someones music is obviously going to reflect that... and I'd almost bet that if these guys had stagnated musically and done the same shit for the last 4/5 years, it would probably sound terrible by now anyway.

As far as your kidnapping idea goes... I'd much rather stick him in a room with all his computer gear and make him transfer every tune he completed between 06-09/10 onto a big ass harddrive to be express mailed straight to transition for cutting.

Suck it up. It sucks that people like Skrillex and Borgore piss all over the scene and make more money than people like Mala, and Coki. But at the end of the day nothing will change. The real heads will be banging their tunes, while the teenieboppers move on to something else. Just wait it out and don't lose all hope in the genre.
