Whose done it? i'm really tempted, somewhere with nice weather etc, thinking new zealand or australia.
don't know the rules and regs on moving aboad without a psecific skillset, essentially i'd be looking to move over there and jsut do bar work for a year or so.

anyone done this and know the way to go about it?

I got a friend who moved in Adelaide this year and he's working in a restaurant, if u want I can put you both in contact. From what I heard he's doing great over there, saving some money to go round the country sometimes this year.

Planning on doing the same.

Berlin in 18 months for 3 years, followed by Japan.

I'd suggest doing it. Why not? The only thing I'd sugeest is doing loads of research into the cost of living etc and also the cost of getting set up in accomodation as different places do things very, very differently. In the short research I've done, the difference between relocating to somewhere in the EU compared with somewhere outisde the EU is pretty vast.

The rough cost of moving to Berlin, £3k (including a 3 financial month cusion to find work without a source of income).
The rough cost of moving to Tokyo, £10-12k (including a 3 financial month cusion to find work, with no source of income).

EDIT: Do you have friends living out there already?

Not to burst your bubble or anything but unless you are very highly skilled in a trade Japan desires at the moment and you speak Japanese it's very and I mean very difficult to get a work visa for Japan, most foreigners who work *there are either English teachers or work for a foreign franchise like an American finance company.
I'm sure you may aware of this though.

Done it in the USA, New Zealand and France. And seriously considering Canada as two of my best friends have visas and are about to go over to Vancouver.

Its well worth it, go for it.

What do you mean? I've seriously considered moving there about a year ago, even began the process of applying for citizenship, but backed out when none of my friends / family supported me. Hearing this I'm wonderng if it was the right decision...

who is also my wife, who is also my aunt.

i havn't put in a lot of thought to it yet to be honest, i'm nto too sure it just crossed my mind so thought i'd see if anyone here has done it!

ps.. my spelling is fine, my fingering is not................................ (on the keyboard, of course)

just ignore the news and the way the crime is portrayed because it really isn`t any worse than any other country.

Hows the job situation down there? Do you reckon it would be hard for a foreigner to get a job?

Guess I don't have to move anywhere as Copenhagen is the third best city to live in....
They should include the weather in those though

It depends if you want permanent or temp work.
I`d say temp work is not difficult to get at all.
It`s well worth it down here.
Weather alone is some of the best in the world.

What kind of work would temp. work be? like I imagine it would be farm work or seasonal work in parks etc..
It is hard to find work down there while sitting here. When looking for it, the only thing I can find is work through agencies that wants loads of money for setting it up. Also if I'm moving anywhere I want to do it by my self and not use some agency.

I`m referring to bar work, restaurants, factory work, etc.
Basically any job requiring temporary staff / casual labour.
