Did anyone watch this?
The prime minister had to fuck a pig, live on daytime TV to ensure the safe release of a kidnapped princess
Charlie Brooker wrote it, was blates supposed to be Camron and Kate Middleton, apart from it being stupid, it dealt with some interesting themes.

Typical very dark humor, cynical Charlie Brooker, if you seen and enjoyed 'Dead Set' then it's worth a watch, it's the first of a trilogy.

I thought it was entertaining, in a Twilight Zone kind of way. I read an interview about it where he mentioned Tales of the Unexpected as an influence, so I was a bit surprised that so much effort was spent making it all unfold in the exact way you thought it would from the beginning. A lot of people talking about the satire and the "Black Mirror" element of it, but I didn't think it worked all that well as satire. It was entertaining, it was funny and disturbing and it was refreshingly different to most other stuff on telly, so I'd still say it was successful, though.

Good, but not as dark as it could have been and backed away from making any real points.

I think the overall points it was making were that people, especially politicians, will literally do anything for popularity and the general public will watch anything for entertainment value.

The bits that were put into the credits were annoying, especially his fucking wife. I did find it hard to believe that literally everyone was watching it, and that the princess was able to wander around for more than an hour with nobody noticing...

I can't get into Charlie Brooker, he's too bitter without much optimism.. the show he did with Chris Morris was alright (forgot the name), but everyone in the show was unlikeable, nothin' special

One of the best things I've seen on TV in ages, imo, but then I don't much TV. It only struck me afterwards how much the PM's wife actaully looked like Samantha Cameron...

It was pretty messed up but interesting. What themes did it deal with then?

from I what I can remember...
Distorted Politicians
Influence of the monarchy in modern Britain (Britain currently don't negotiate deals with terrorists over kidnapped citizens)
Relationship between the press and politicians
Modern and future terrorist methods (ie using cyber space for anonymity)
The editing of visuals for deception purposes
What is considered art and how far can the boundary's be pushed
Social Networking

The role of media in a post-democratic age.
