anyone up on clams casino, teebs, elephant & castle, gold panda, stuff like this? suggestions to check other artists out? doesnt have to even be electronic based, stuff like washed out, beachhouse, etc. is also nice to hear. some of this kind of music is my favorite to listen to in the winter.

I don't really know any of the names mentioned here, but since you said it doesn't have to be electronic, Sigur Ros' album Ágætus Byrjun is a stunning dreamy post rock-ish album.
Serious bassweight on this tune:

definitely some ones I will be checking out, thanks for the recommendations. Also, funny you guys mention Balam Acab, I was just introduced to them today when my friend Ashley came over to work on a beat. She said they were playing here on thursday as well..
ha! same girl Ashley showed me The Field today, and described them as a more dancier version of Gas.
If you guys are fans of ambient at all, if you havent already check out Secede, Markus Guentner, Yagya, Deru, Sabi, Helios, Kettel... especially Kettel's Volley Iron album.
