This seems to be the new thing in tunes. I really love the vibe that transfers with the drum roll before the drop, so I wanted to know how to do one. I've tried before but clearly I am not executing it properly.
Tunes that use Drum Rolls before drop:

Load up real toms, snares, and kicks and pretend you were really doing a drum roll and place them where you imagine they should be.

First tune - triplet snares sampled from some old 80's tune, might be the 'Midnight Lady' snare, or something very very similar, got that big boomy cheese factor... Thats followed by a tom roll - 2 beats each.. actually think it might be a direct sample too, but Im not sure the source, Ronnie Jordans Mystic Voyage has some very similar ones at the beggining that always turn up in 'hiphop' loop packs...
Their tom rolls though bottom line, you could probably knick some from hiphop or dubstep tunes if your too lazy to actually program them or source funk samples.

yeah im under the impression that those are hard to make sound real by just programing them. youll need to sample or play them yourself.

I just listened to them and it doesn't seem that hard. I thought you were talking about the ones that sounds like they drum roll into infinity but sounding smooth still. I think they use dBlueGlitch with either the yellow one or purple. I forgot what they are called Lol.

It helps to know something about how to play drums, and what drum cadences are.
