Ableton Live.

Just a little something I wanted to share.
Four years ago, I started using Reason 3, to make music, completely unaware of the complex process that was involved in crafting beats. I set out with no genre, and enjoyed making sounds in Reason.
When I started seriously producing Dubstep and DnB, I started to see that Reason's instruments were getting very limited, compared to the VST's that were available.
About 5 months ago, I upgraded to Logic Pro 9, and found it amazing for creating new and unique sounds.
However, I was still curious about Ableton Live, since so many producers use it, and since it has gotten so much praise, so I decided to try out the demo.
On first look, I hated it, and went straight back to Logic. I got curious a few days later, and gave it a proper chance, getting used to everything, and I realized what an amazing piece of software it really is, especially for genres such as Dubstep and Drum and Bass, where there is a lot going on.
I have bought it today, even after only buying Logic not to long ago, this is how good it is.
If you are a Live user, you are probably saying "what's your point, bro?" , but I want to raise awareness to all non live users, who haven't fully tried Live out.
I think the thing that made me switch so fast to it is the fact that you can automate any parameter with EASE simply by clicking on the parameter you want say in FM8, and drawing the automation in, on the sequencer, no scrolling through long lists of parameters, and having the awkward windowed navigation through automation like Logic. This is sooo helpful in production, since for the majority of my basses, I like automating parameters to bring movement to the sound(automation further than lfo to filter cutoff) Automating things like the EQ in Live creates new and awesome sounds, and takes so little time.
Just to show an example of the insane automation I've been experimenting with, check the clip below. The bass is a simple enough patch in Massive, but all the movement is from the automation.

Anyway, to conclude my seemingly pointless rant, if you don't use Live as of now, try out the demo, spend a bit of time learning it, and see if you love it too! I know myself and a lot of producers were well aware of Live, but never really tried it out, as we were comfortable in whatever DAW we were using.
P.S. Although it might not mean much to you, I created and EXACT Skrillex growl bass using the method that he actually uses to create the bass(Purely for my own curiosity in sound design, not to use) , so if you are up for a tutorial, I'll happily make a decent, not drawn out one.
