Been Sending the project file back n forth through Mediafire but once the project expands past 200MB I can no longer upload till i pay for a premium account... So my question would be whats the fastest free way to send files back n forth.

https://www.dropbox.com/

You basically share everything that is in the Dropbox folder to everyone (your partner) that you invite. Everything is done automatically, it's VERY fast in synchronization and supports up to 2GB. Doesn't get better than this ;)

Op dropbox is the best byfar, its just like any other folder on your computer except the guy your collabong with can grab the files you put in there whenever he's on his comp. No uploading through dumb websites. Just drop it in the folder and it does the rest.

1) Install Dropbox, your friend must install it too.
2) Login in the Dropbox website.
3) Sharing tab > Share a Folder
4) Give it a name and your friend's email.
5) Your friend accepts the invitation received in his email.

That folder is created inside your Dropbox folder (it should be in C:\Users\YourName\Dropbox\ or something similar). Now, everything you or your friend puts on that folder is automatically sent to the other. The folders will be equal (synchronized). You just put your project inside and when you save it, it is sent automatically updated in your partner's computer.

Believe me, it's the best thing ever for collaborative work (everyone uses it in my college).

It's the same, it's exactly like having a folder in your HD. However, I recommend you to have your project folder inside the shared folder so you just open you DAW, make music and save, it's the best workflow you can have. Only use RAR if your already wasted the 2GB.

zipping the stems ftw! And always use the same DAW as you'll often run into trouble
