Why is grime (or is it garage?) sometimes called Eski? Something to do with Wiley or Dizzee?

Wiley. Eskimo, Ice Rink, Ice Pole, Igloo, Colder are all names of his tracks and hes also know as Eskiboy, and runs a night called Eskimo Dance. I've always thought eski tunes were ones with that really distinctive bass synth

Yeah that's what i was guessing i stumbled upon that song n it got me wonderin, thanks yeah

He used to describe his sound as eski beat.

I guess I can hear some similarities with the square bass but I'd say that no he doesn't really fit the criteria for Eski.
