Two issues I'm still having, one being with being able to transfer my song to a friend for collab using stems, and the other being a matter of using clips from one song in another without problems associated with corresponding send/returns effects.

1. I'd like to save my song projects in a manner that I can easily transfer the whole project via email to a friend to work on. They're not going to have the same VST's as me so using stems is the only way to go. I want to be able to save the songs in a way that I can easily transfer the stems, so then is taking all 10 midi tracks of a song, duplicate, freeze/flat and then dragging the audio clips into a zip the best way or is rendering the whole song out via each track better?

2. In the same manner of workflow...I'd like to be able to have a collection of stems from each song I make so I can later reuse them in a larger experimental set. Because when I use the non-destructive method of dragging and dropping the track into ableton's library, it retains the correct settings but wrong effects. For instance I run into problems with tracks having the correct aux send/return amounts(percentages), but not having the correct aux/return effects. So like it'll pull in the track and assign say 55% reverb on aux 1, 20% delay on aux 2...but I may have totally different reverb/delays set up on my send/returns.

Render all the tracks as separate stems and compress.

Save all the relevant meta data and insert as required.

BTW in Ableton when you go "File > Export" and the box comes up with rendering options... there is an option to render all tracks indivdually in one go.
Sorry if that was stating the obvious and you already know, but it blew my mind when I found that out after years of using Ableton and bouncing tracks manually!

I'm the guy that throws the manual in the bin and then gets angry when when he can't figure out how to change from session view to arrangement view (this actually happened and it took one hour of clicking things and a phone call to a mate to figure it out)
