I didn't realise how god awful my Numark mixer was until using A&H and Pioneer ones, there's such a big difference

A&H, Rane, Vestax, Ecler or Formula Sound. Fuck Pioneer!

interesting never heard of this, reasonably priced stuff especially for a company that seemingly only makes mixers...

anyone have experience using one?

the ecler nuo 3.0 is the best sounding mixer i've ever used. huge nobs, easily customizable faders and a solid, no-frills design. i really can't begin to tell you how beautiful vinyl sounds on this mixer.

Vote for allen and heath over here. My mate's got a pioneer mixer and it sounds awful in comparison, and the EQing and filtering on it just doesn't seem to work as well as my xone 32.

A&H or ecler they make the best mixers

i'd agree a&h make good mixers but the new xone 22 is garbage.

looks like im choosing between A&H and ecler... not looking to spend more than 400USD or so.

have you used the xone22 south3rn? is it rly that bad?

specs + price are seem to fit the mold for what we need.

yes i've used it, i tested several different ones before i decided to not buy. they all had a level of hum, it seems like there are grounding issues since the mixers are now made in china. also, the filter has a nasty pop when you engage it. if you're using it on beat against a kick or snare it's not too noticeable, but it still really bothers me. i feel like a lot of the money you spend on the xone 22 goes towards the brand name and the filter, where as with ecler, they're a relatively small company with no real market reputation, so you're only paying for top notch build and very high quality components.

Ecler have been making mixers since the 60's so they're a pretty safe bet. AFAIK they made the first ever DJ mixer.

I do highly recommend A&H but I've only had extensive use of the 'old' models which were made in the UK.
They may well be a lot shitter now they're made in China.

if i were to buy an a&h i'd make sure it was UK made, i'd have absolutely no qualms buying one of those.

I have a xone 22, bought it last year. Great mixer, nothing wrong with. I don't ground anything
and it doesn't hum at all, is that magic? :)

I've got a Nuo 2.0 - Love it! You can drive it to +10 before distortion and even then the distortion sounds warm and crunchy.
