Hey I just made my first full length ish song, sampling from Elton John. So hard to find vocal samples I like. Let me know what you think! I am a complete novice so tips would be awesome! If you take the time to listen please leave a comment with your thoughts!

i like the flow and structure of the tune> I feel the organ that starts at 18 shouldnt be there> I like the funky bassline though, even though its a very poppy massive synth sound i really like what you did with it. Id layer up the drums/percussion and maybe play some of the notes on that lead over 2 octaves, will make it sound much thicker and will fill in those lost frequency's in that 120-220hz feild.

I have only been at this on and off for about a month now and I feel like with each song I make I learn infinitely more. Off to the next one! The track sounds pretty professional, good job. The voices that jump from left to right and finally to the middle during the buildup part sound good. I can hear something in the very beginning of the intro that's panned to the right that's barely audible. Maybe make that louder or get rid of it, as is I think it doesn't really add much and kind of makes the listener strain to see if there's really something there. The sound from 1:41-1:45 really jumps out and seems louder than anything else on the track. At first I wanted it turned down but now I'm not sure if I like it or dislike it how it is right now; but it really stood out to me. Cool song overall.

Thanks, you are definitely correct about the sound at 1:41, some of the vocal samples that I cut up actually seem louder as well. It was more the case of me being eager and thinking hmm that is good enough! I once saw this interview with this guy who was a beatboxer. He was pretty good, but what really came across was his passion for beatboxing. He made some really interesting points about music. He basically said, so many people make music and don't really make it in the business and all that. He said you need to ask yourself, does your own work move you, does it give you the chills, make you want to dance. If it doesn't even do that for you, how could you possibly expect it to do that for other people. When you watch professional artists, Rusko, Skrillex, or Flux Pavillion live you can tell they are in love with their music. This song is about 60%-65% of what I want it to be, (which is higher than any other little music idea I have made). First time I have ever jumped around to my own song. I hope I can get lucky and get a 95% er some day!
