Just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone has made some awesome dubstep sounds in pure data?? and if so, has anyone interfaced their sounds with ableton or any other DAW?? Ive been messing around making some patches, and you can get some pretty sweet sounds quickly just from a few simple osc objects

i'm tryna learn it to make some fucked up drone...i have no idea how to integrate it with my daw though (i use reaper) and i haven't tried using it for dubstep sounds...how do you hook it up to ableton? its probably different than in reaper but i know that neither of them natively support it so it should be similar

if you want to interface with ableton you might want to invest in max:
http://www.ableton.com/maxforlive
no idea how to interface pd with (for example) reaper. there's this:
http://crca.ucsd.edu/~jsarlo/pdvst/ which ostensibly lets you run pd as a vst, but i think it's pretty old and buggy.
try the pure data forums. would be interested in an answer to this myself. pure data = hours of fun.

We keep these secrets closely guarded so nobody can have them.. my precious.
All about tinkering, there's no real theory behind deciding what to do and if it sounds good.
Completely relevant to yourself as an artist. Reaktor and Maxforlive are fun to tinker with.
