Producing my first EP

Hey all! :t:

I´ve got some questions depending the production of my first EP.
I´m working on 4 tracks and I wanted to know if you already made some experience with this. When I made a track I usually put it on Soundcloud and Youtube and offered it as free DL. But now I want to make a four track EP with professionel Mixing and Mastering.
Now my question is if I don´t mix my tracks myself, can I put some effects and plug ins to my instruments and all or do I have to tell the mixing engineer how every single part should sound ? For instance I use a piano and want it to sound very vintage and like on an old vinyl plate. If I make the sound myself using some plugins, is that any problem for the following process? Sorry if that´s a stupid question but I´m not experienced at all. I mean I mixed and masterd the tracks myself but I don´t want to destroy my tracks by doing something which could disturb the following process.

And my next and final question is if you know a good mixing/mastering studio I could send my tunes to?! I´ll produce Glitch Hop and Dubstep. Would be awesome if you could help me out litte. :)

BTW DubstepChannelTv picked up my latest track! Please check it out and rate if you like it :)
Greetings from Austria and sorry for the bad use of the beautyful english language :D

Dude of course you can. Just make the track as you would, finish it completely, then send him a wav, or each of the stems [whatever they ask for.]

Atleast you apologised.

Good luck. ;)

Haha thanks a lot man. :) You're welcome anytime.
Just shoot me a PM or talk to me on Soundcloud, I'll be happy to listen to your stuff.

I'm not a big artist by the way but I still appreciate it.

@Electric, what's wrong with that?

Make the song exactly as you would, except DO NOT have a limiter on the master track. take that off, and make sure you have at least 4dB of headroom, unless the engineer asks for more.

The drums at the start of your tune are sooo good.

Did they come from the remix pack or did you make them yourself?

Why? Does the engineer not know how to use gain knob?

So many producers go without even reading the stickies :?

Yeah i'm pretty lucky, I got my first e.p that I just finished signed and I did everything myself, you would want to watch out about using samples in your tracks tho that could have copyright written all over em.

Thank you very much for the information bro! yeah I will now use any plug ins on the master channel and I´ll keep the headroom :)
