Im making a design website for my self and i can't deside which name sounds more correct "works by *name*" or "works of *name*"?
Help me out please.

Not a native speaker myself.

"Works by" seems to roll of my tongue easier.

Like you would listen to [track] by [artist] or [film] by [director]

"Works by ____" is a bit better IMO, but both are technically correct. Depends a bit on context as well though. If it's something like "This website features the works of ____" then I'd use that, but if it's just "Works by _____" then that's better.

Hmm, I think you can probably use both... but you can definitely use "Works Of", eg. "The Complete Works Of Shakespeare"... each play/sonnet being a single work.

It feels more natural to say a single piece of work is "By" someone and a collection of work is "Of", but I reckon they're both acceptable.

if you were to say 'The Complete Works of Shakespeare' wouldn't it just be 'work' unplural...?
