Hi all,

Not so much a question but more of a discussion. I wanted to get an idea on different techniques people use with there effect automations (i.e. combining filters / phasers and automating them to work together to achieve a lot of movement).

The most common thing I have been doing is having a Phasers dry wet @ 100% and automating the frequency and q values while also having an EQ sweep or providing subtle gains in the mids. Usually i'll resample and repeat and just change the phasers freqs a little. If using Saw waves or something like Modern Talking this gives you a real middy koan sound like bass

Specifically I am hoping to get some new ideas to achieve those mid sounding koan sound / kill the noise bass lines but please post whatever techniques you are using, love to get some more ideas and inspiration :-).

Thanks,
Ben

lfo to cut off :6:

haha kidding, but in reason, before i got logic i used to really like drawing in my own filter automations and also automating the scale knob on scream4. i just got logic a few weeks ago and have been exploring some new things. more recently been automating wow filter a lot which sounds amazing compared to any filter i have worked with. also for reeses, now that i have a more usable eq in logic, i like automating notch filters in unison usually sweeping in opposite ways in a rhythm that fits the song. never really liked the sound of doing this in reason, but in logic it works good. I'm a little drunk right now though and kind of forgot what i was going to say so I'm just kind of rambling lol :u:
