whenever i'm producing or listening to 80 or 140bpm music, my cat won't leave me alone. she sits in front of the computer screen, walks on the keyboard, tail twitches like a crackhead, meows, the cheek rub thing.
my buddy has a cat too.. i played my 140bpm dubstep tune on his system, and his cat went nuts. just started doing figure 8's between my feet for the entire 5 minute song.
i think it's because a cat's heart beats at 140bpm.
anybody else have a cat that acts up to music, specifically 140bpm stuff?

I think it's your cats way of telling you it doesn't like your tunes
Definitely something to do with the low frequency purring and the bass anyway.
i was just about to come here and find a cat thread to post a video so i willl put it in here.
Cats purr during both inhalation and exhalation with a consistent pattern and frequency between 25 and 150 Hertz.
you guys think cats are content/pleasured or anxious/scared when listening to music?
i wonder what sounds i could get out of cat purring plus granular synthesis

btw im playing music now and they haven't come up. Although I laid out a duvet infront of the radiator for them earlier so I'd imagine they're maxin an relaxin feeling the vibrations from downstairs.
