A Burial+Trent Reznor collaboration. Possible?

If Mala can collab with Lee Perry,

and "He Who Must Not Be Named" can collab with The Doors,

why not Burial & Trent Reznor?

Seriously, i can imagine something beautiful from the combo of these two.

If you guys listened to Reznor's scored for the Social Network and Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, you can see influences from Burial and Kode 9.

And it's pretty possible if Thom Yorke can collab with Burial.

I love the social network soundtrack but no i can't see this happening at all. Theres a big difference from Thom Yorke (who apparently had a big interest in dubstep already) and Trent Reznor. The chances of him even knowing who Burial is are very slim imo. Again Mala and Lee Scratch Perry aren't too far apart, i assume LSP had an interest in dubstep and already knew who Mala was before doing a collab.

Are you kidding me? Trent Reznor knows Dubstep as much as Thom Yorke.

Though he doesn't talk much about it, but he does have knowledge of modern electronic music as a composer. And as an NPR listener, i'm pretty sure he's been exposed to Burial, James Blake and Mount Kimbie many times. Hell, i'm pretty sure he's chilling to Joker as of right now while making a new album.

Ah fair enough then, could be a possiblity. I only know Trent Reznor as doing the music for Social Network and as part of NIN.. i just assumed he wouldn't have heard of dubstep and if he had he'd probably been exposed to the US style of dubstep. My bad.

I used to listen to Social Network soundtrack while doing uni work, along with Inceptions.. after that i moved onto Burial, it seems to be the only music i can concentrate while studying, so this collab would be amazing and good for my studying music collection!

Some of the tracks on the soundtrack would go beautifuly with some Burial style vocals.

Would be incredible, but based on the mysterious man that is Burial, i don't see it happening. :(

a lot of respect for Reznor, a true genius.

I'd absolutely love to hear Reznor's take on 140 bass music. The man loves music and spends a lot of time on the internet so I'd imagine he's probably been exposed to proper dubstep.

Burial and Trent Reznor are both my musical hero's and biggest inspirations. This would be unbelievable. I think i'd implode.

Wouldn't say Burial's 'mysteriousness' would stop it. if he's managed to collab with dbridge, thom yhorke, four tet and jamie woon then i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.
Just depends if one goes to the other really.

I dont want Trent Reznors uninspired synths muddling up my lucid-dream-inducing burial.

Seen alot of adjectives used to describe Trent's music over the years....uninspiring isnt one of them.

for some reason i think if reznor did 140 stuff it would sound like vex'd. which is not a bad thing, of course - but i can't really see it working with burial.

I think Burial would work very well with Vex'd though.

Heroin addict-era Reznor would go together really well with Burial
