Ripping from video games

Hey guys, I'm back again. I stepped away from working on learning electronic stuff for a few weeks and got together with a deathcore band to play some lead guitar. But electronic music keeps pulling me back, and I am looking for a skilled person to help me out! I know it is possible to rip audio from video games, especially if you're familiar with loading ROMs into an emulator of a popular system. I am on a HUGE old school game kick, having just picked up an original 1989 Game Boy to bring back childhood memories. That being said, if there was a particular game that I had and wanted to tear audio out of, can anybody here do that? I looked it up the one day and I'm not so sure I want to muck about with that. If you can help me out, I'd be pleased if you did! Also, if it is far simpler than I'm thinking it is, a quick little tut on doing it would also be appreciated! Lemme know if you can help me out! (I'll give you a cookie and ten internets if you do!) :D

Im sure, depending on the audio clip you want, you could find some video or sound effect site online that has what you need

They are plenty of emulator who've got the option of recording sound, pick the emulator and the rom you want and export it directly from the emulator!

Yeah, true, I have done the record directly from the emulator option. However, it's tougher to get the individual sound effects out of it. :D Also, there ARE a myriad of sites which offer video game sounds, but I have so many old games, I highly doubt they'll all be on there :P Anyways, thanks for the advice thusfar gents and gent-ettes xD

Why don't you just take a minijack and plug the gameboy into your soundcard and record it?

I'd load a ROM onto an emulator, get yourself Totalrecorder and record away

*facepalm* Wow! Why the hell didn't I try that x) That's a fun idea, I'll play with that just because I would have more fun with that than my emulators :P Thanks guys! Though I still am curious if anybody knows how to do the file ripping from ROMs, I know that's a thing.
