Best Dubstep Sample Pack You Own?

Got tons of good dnb packs, electro packs, hip hop packs, but never found any good specific dubstep packs? All they ever seem to be is just a wobble bass one shot and some really shitty weak drum one shots. Anyone got any suggestions?

Those are illegal yo.

Best I've heard High Rankin Dubstep Tearout or Rankin Audio Ultimate Dubstep. For drums that is.

Plenty of free samples out there that are really good. Darkbeats sampleswap got you covered for sure.

i rarely use samples but i sometimes use free stuff from newsletters such as loopmasters and BHK. i like BHK their freebies are great for layering. its more dnb but some dubstep stuff in there too.

I never use dubstep sample packs ( unless freebies)
But my favorite pack has to be loopmaster jazz/world

My fave currently has to be the Red Raven sample pack, enjoying the hell out of the snares.
Seem to meld well with all around heavier hitters. :)

I have this one pack a friend sent me. Full of beautiful, real, recorded one-shot drum samples. I take nearly all my drums from there and layer them to my liking.

Goldbaby

Genre sample packs are usually really shit and overprocessed quick moneymakers. That Dubstep Tearout one is a prime example.

I suggest getting samples from the total opposite spectrum of whatever you want to make.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Makes sense..

Yes a very bad thing.

By opposite spectrum, I meant some of the best samples ever are geared toward stuff you might not even like. I've probably got more use out of the Big Fish Orchestral and Winds packs than anything else that comes to mind.

But to answer his question the Distance pack had some great unprocessed content for a genre specific pack.

PrimeLoops Dubstep Nation
PrimeLoops Dubstep Illusions

Illusions is my fav of the two though.

Also the Untold Sample Pack

I like Loopmasters a LOT. I don't generally get the packs labeled "dubstep," because those generally turn out to be a bunch of blah wobbles and shit. But I like to get things like ethnic African drums and Soundsystem vocals and reggae guitar and weird shit like that, really helps me in the creative process.
Also, Loopmasters will occasionally team up with an artist to make a sample pack. Phaelah recently put out a sample pack with Loopmasters, it was FUCKING AMAZING.
They've also done it with Untold, and many others

I generally don't buy Loopmasters sample packs ( they're usually around $20 to $30), but if you sign up (for free) you can get free samples from each pack, so I usually just dl the free samples of each.

Agreed. If you use samples that are geared towards the genre you're working in, then what are you bringing to he genre? Dedicated dubstep drums will sound like dubstep influenced dubstep. Try jazz drums or something and you will be bringing something new to the table.

I love the ethnic stuff - mostly Africa and India style. African drums and ethnic instruments, and Indian vocals and sitars and all that....it's gold

sonika i do the same thing since i kinda like loopmasters too, only that i read the license on them all. theres quite a certain few "free samples" that basically say in the read_me "only for demonstration purposes buy the full release if you want to use them in your songs". once i realised that i started deleting most the packs i had lol.

Drums are the only way you can make your track stand out from the crowd

Good ideas guys, I hate prime loops because I've bought two packs from them and they were both shit. Also I have high rankins pack which wasn't bad however its way out of date now. I'll check out the bhk ones, seems like I'm gonna have to keep using dnb packs and stuff for my one shots :) Also, just interested if you don't use any sample packs, where do you get your one shots from? I'm presuming you don't make them?
