Hey guys, just finished a 45 minute long mix, exported at 48000 16bit and its goddamn 520MB in size. now im able to upload it to soundcloud but id like for people to be able to download it without taking up a half gig of harddrive space. am i doing something wrong? should i have consolidated all my files in the live session before exporting? any help would be appreciated, cheers!

convert it to mp3
wav files will always be large
soundcloud will compress your tracks anyway so just go the mp3 route

what ^^ said
are you on mac or pc? if you're on mac, just bring your mix into garageband and export it as mp3.
pisses me off how ableton can't export as mp3

Would of been fine to make it 44100 instead to save space. Don't need a mix to be supposed "Studio Quality".
Convert it in Audacity or own choice, be good to go!

Personally I use Audacity to convert my mixes from WAV to 320 mp3. iTunes automatically converts them much lower, so you need to change the settings in the import preferences.

Rando, first have to make sure that your audio i/o is running at 44.1, and then in fl, options>auido settings> Sample rate, set that to, 44.1. If I recall, similar in live.

For the skin:
http://sonictransfer.com/ableton-live-s ... p?file=352 ( I guarantee it doesn't make your eyes want to bleed at night plus it isn't all gray!)
And for the Picture:

OR

If you can't see it now, here's what it shows:
1. Go into Ableton Preferences.
2. Click audio tab.
3. Find the cascade window in Sample Rate - In/Out Sample Rate and select 48000 below 44100.
