Autographs?

So I'm seeing loefah tomorrow in sf and want to bring my copy of mud to ask him to sign it. Would that be weird?

It would be weird if you asked if he would let you perform fellatio on him, but if you refrain from that it sounds completely normal. Im sure hes used to it.

im sorry to bring negativity but i never understood autographs. whats the point of it all exactly? is the tune gonna sound better? are you going to stare at his name on the sleeve? or are you going to try to make money off it? i mean he produced and released this tune that you love and to thank him youre going to ask him to give you soemthing else? Wouldnt it just be nicer to tell him how much you enjoy his productions, thank him for releasing them and buy the man a beer.?

Don't over analyze it. It's just cool to have an artist that you respect and admire sign something. Theres nothing more to it.

That said, i do have a poster of a night i attended with every dj´s autograph on it including Cluekid and The Others.. Are you going to really want to carry around a pretty expensive vinyl the whole night btw??
I dont see any problem with you asking him to sign something (aslong as he isnt in the middle of a mix or sumink) however carrying a vinyl around all night is going to suck.

I'd much rather take a picture with him, and chat, stuff like that. An autograph, anyone can forge one, but a photo is a better visual reminder of meeting ur favorite artist and the chat, that brings them closer on a personal level.

it would be so awesome man, but so many good points raised, and yeah, it is mud after all, i'd rather not risk losing it etc, but at the same token, the small opportunity might not rise again any time soon, there mightn't be another good chance, or another chance at all!

I personally would just big up Loe and tell him I'm a fan of his tunes and offer to buy him a beer. That's just me, though.
