I'm tearing my hair out. I'm trying to go back to version 8.2.7 because 8.2.8 has completely fucked up.
When i audition samples it stutters. and when i open my projects and play them back they stutter like a bitch too.

Iv tried reinstalling 8.2.8 a few times and reinstalling the drivers to my soundcard but its still the same

Im signed into the Ableton site now, but i can't find where you go to download previous versions

send them a nasty email, have you checked your buffers?

That's a bit odd. I'd check all the preferences first, maybe its returned to default or something. If not, emailing support is probably your best bet.

Have you tried turning rebooting your machine? Because solves everything.

Ableton updates are, effectively, an entirely new install, unless you deliberately deleted it is shoudl be still on yours system.

This. Reset your asio preferences to what they were!

Also - and this kinda goes for OS updates and all...

If something is working great - don't update for the sake of updating. Sure - if there is a specific feature, then take the plunge...

But for instance, I am still on version 7 for Live (and OS X 10.5.... because I got stuff running exactly how I want it to.

Jesus I had no idea they even updated to 8.2.7 let alone 8.2.8. I've got .5 and .6 sitting in my dock still, with .6 getting the most regular use
