In my opinion nothing sounds better and more sexy than a beautiful voice singing over a filthy tune. Perfect example, Belle Humble. For those of you that don't know, she's the voice from Freestylers "Cracks" and more recently 501's "Headrush". Absolutely perfect voice for dubstep. You guys got any preferred singers in EDM right now?

The most beautiful voice I've ever heard in EDM has been "Savvy" some un-named girl who only ever works with canadian producer Ben Sage (Drum & Bass)...

She's never worked with anyone else and I over the years I've never been able to find out anything else about her... Not even on Discogs...

She does have a really good voice Ketamine! I've never heard of Ben Sage either, but he's pretty good.

I don't know why but any dubstep with female vocals in it repulses me.

hmmm
i don't really like the whole angelic/squeaky thing a lot of people have going, gotta have some personality and depth
im also not a fan the bizarre love affair people have with putting squeaky/angelic vocals over "filth", it don't work in metal and it don't work here imo. "go away" by katy b remains one of my favourite tunes pretty much ever, allow filth
those tracks you mentioned in the OP though are... not my thing

like wiener that much eh? I'm kiddin. That surprises me though. That's one thing I can honestly say, I don't see how you couldn't like it, it goes perfectly with it and adds a new layer of inflection and tension as the beat progresses. I can't stand it when theirs TOO much singing though, THAT'S annoying. Don't get me wrong though, I love a lot of dub without any singing or voices at all, but when a good producer and good singer come together it's fuckin beautiful!

Without a doubt the best female singer in dubstep is soundmouse with phealeh.

Sorry about that then. As you can see, I wasn't here 6 months ago and it just seemed like a good topic to discuss since I didn't see it.
yeahh, I'm not usually much of a fan of female vocals in EDM but Can't Sleep is absolutely incredible

I figure she must be either his sister or wife/gf and he's protective... I remember us outright asking him on DOA Forum before and he never addressed it...
