How do I make this wobble? (Koan Sound)

I need help recreating this sound, it's from the song "Mr. Brown" by "Koan Sound". I use Ableton and mostly use massive, but if you know any way of creating this, with external vst's or in reason, that would be really helpfull.

It's the main wobble, right after the vibrato synth hits in the drop.

And by the way, does anyone know how to make the video to show in the forum post, and not just a link (im new to forums).

Cheers.

One of the reasons I respect and love Koan sound so much is because their sound design is hard to recreate. Honestly, I have no idea. Usually i'm quick to identify sound design but they always leave me stumped.

But I can help with the video html shit. Go to full editor when you are making a post and on the tabs around all the editing tools, there is a video embedder. Click it and it will paste down the html code. Place your link in between the two codes.

sounds like some complex FM bizness freq split and widened.

Sounds a bit like subtractor fm with some digital distortion from the scream 4 and white noise over top....purely speculation

Definatly sounds re-sampled to me, with alot of chorus/flanger? That seems like it would be a hard sound to replicate, hope someone can help you out but i honestly have no idea. Definatly take re sampling into consideration though because that probably adds alot to the sound.

its a nice sound but honestly i think it sounds a bit weird. its one of those sounds where it would be hard to make it sound good if your not koan yanno what i mean/

I can't tell you anything other than they use Reason. But their sound design is top notch. More likely than not, if they don't come on here and tell, nobody will know.

if you're talking about that datsiky sounding wobble, that doesn't sound too hard. have your filter open up for each note (play with the settings), just like any other bass noise. have a little bit of reverb early in the chain. chorus with high depth, phaser with high depth. duplicate this layer, and put a short delay on the copy 8-20ms.

it's mainly the filter opening up, a small amount of reverb, and the short delay which phases the signal.

You could get close to it with a datsik wobble and a lot of chorus
my best datsik synth wob was on the first tune in my sig, I could give you the ksd for it and then all you need to do is EQ it heavily, chorus it, and distort/resample. You want?

^ I agree with this, it's either a very short reverb or a gated one. I can also hear phasing but don't know the exact technique (slow phaser, chorus...).

To my understanding its a pretty basic wobble but with some chorus and a flanger. Also if you listen closely it has a slight vowely effect. Now as far as I know KOAN Sound use reason, but that still doenst mean we cant recreate some epic KOAN shit. I've had a go at recreating it in massive the patch is down below for you to download.
http://www.mediafire.com/?c3ge00eyedovd8j

It's in .ksd format so it should be compatible with any version of Massive.

Hope that helped! :4:
