never actually got round to playing any of the silent hill games but i've been meaning to so i'll definitely pick this up.

I always preferred the Silent Hill series to be honest. That being said, I wont bother buying this, I've seen a few previews and it looks exactly like it did on the PS2.

just got the Metal Gear Solid HD for xbox, 2 out of the 3 games the graphics are good

I think 4 is the only one i ever played through to the end so ill pay for the others even if the graphics are pretty much the same.
Nothing on Resident evil though, always been my favorite games, although im not feeling the newer ones as much. Old school clunky controls all the way for me

As a kid Resident evil scared me more but as i got olderi found that silent hill is scary on another level
A good documentary on the making of Silent Hill 2 the little details they did are great

Best horror games ever.
(the old resident evil games were better but in terms of pure horror style these games ruled. scared the shit out of me back in the day and not much manages that.)

Ahh buzzing for this. Silent Hill is a fucking scary game. Shame the 4th one isn't in the collection that probs my fav next to the 1st one, proper proper scary shit there. I still think no survival horror has anything on Resident Evil 4 though. I remember when that came out and it kicked off so hard it fully sold out everywhere, some mates literally drove up and down the south east finding game shops to buy it in haha, they eventually re-released it though.

Resident evil and silent hill were just pure quality. Memories of each word and a pause between the straining of the old ps1. The silent hill where youre locked in the room was excellent.

The original Resident Evils aren't really comparable with 4, seeing that it was a completely different game.
Not saying that 4 is bad, 4 was balls-to-the-wall-amazing, but it only had the story in common, and the only scary moments were running from the chainsaw Spaniards.
Also you could see up Ashley's skirt.
But 5?...
Eeee.....
The AI partner system was the worst. The bitch would always use your best weapon at the worst time.
Firing off rpg's at a single zombie, then only having a shitty pistol for a hoard of em. I just said fuck it and gave her the damn stun rod.
