I just setup a cloudkillers account and it seem to be a pretty slick way of getting new music out... here is a link in case anyone else wants to check it out. They basically push a bunch of tracks in front of you to listen to and there is some that are not that good on there, however there is some real fire as well. www.cloudkillers.com/?aff=4590

no no no no its a poor excuse for people who think comments on a waveform mean something, good music is gonna get noticed theres no need for something like this. Its cheating in my book

True point. I spent about 45 minutes on it and thought it was a pretty good way to find some new producers... I dont like that you can search by specific genres that would interest you.

(In risk of starting a flame war)...

why do ppl hate cloudkillers? Its not like you cant skip a track without commenting on it.

here is how i see the site... and please dont ruin it for me by shooting me down. To me, the site is not about getting more comments so that people think your music is better... your just retarded if you think that. Its about guaranteeing that my music gets heard, regardless of if people like it or not. They listen to whatever track randomly pops up. if they dont like it, they skip it. The commenting, for me, is a way to force people to tell me what aspects of my music they like, and what I should be doing better. the site is not about making tracks look good by having comments galore. It is a community of people trying become better at what they do, and the only way to get "better" at a form of art is of course to practice, but also to have people give feedback on what they like about your work, and more importantly suggestions and advice on how to make tracks better.

people will never find your music if your just sitting around making music and hoping that people will somehow stumble upon your page. This is just a way to guarantee that someone will hear your music. Stop trying to ruin this site for other people by calling it "cheating"... if you dont like it, dont join....

its targeting lazy and apprehensive producers who are too afraid to go out and market themselves to labels and would prefer hiding behind a computer program to make them feel good about themselves

LOL im not doing it to try and get a label, and certainly not to feel good about myself, but if that's how you see the site then so be it.

1. Reluctantly let them connect to my soundcloud to see what the thread was about (anything soundcloud doesnt endorce shouldnt want to connect, thats iffy, I changed my password over it), was forwarded directly to a prices page. Free does not cost me 45 dollars for 500 guarenteed comments.
2. Im looking at the comments on your sig tunes... Oh how geniune those are! lmfao. You really think any of your 500 'nice tune!' commenters actually listened to the tripe in your sig? No. So there went your 'source of feedback' arguement.
3. All it earned you, was me blocking your soundcloud sigs via abp. They slowed this thread down to the point it wouldnt load.
4. It says something, you know, you having more comments then Noisia... and that something isnt 'omg how talented!'
5. It was supposed to mean that people will see right through it and look worse on you then they did prior. Id rather come to your soundcloud, see no comments at all, then someone blatantly attention whoring.

its basically pinterest for audio.

any social media that is driven off comments or rather "internet comments" is a house of cards. there are social media "farms" that you can outsource in india, bangladesh, pakistan, that basically pay people below minimum wage to create accounts, and write congratulatory comments at whatever target you choose.... youtube, Facebook, myspace, what have you. this site is headed in that direction. you can even bid for these services on ebay now... its so big that ebay made it, its own category, "internet promotion"

alright well thats ur opinion. either way my tracks are getting heard which is what i want. also... I'm pretty sure the site u visited was a phishing site cuz you cannot actually "buy comments".... thats not a feature of the site. you can however pay $25 for a "premium account" which you can actually get for free if you use the site long enough. no purchase is ever required on the site... the only reason they have options to purchase "points" or "premium accounts" is because you need servers to host the website, and you cannot make money off of an add-free site to buy/upgrade servers unless you give people the option to pay for something... i repeat OPTION.

trust me cloudkillers is not heading in that direction... that would suck. I have talked to the people that run the site, and if they see that one IP address has more than one account online they ban the accounts and the IP addresses

thank you. +10 internets to you sir.

and btw following and unfollowing people is not a bad thing. its just a less annoying way to say "hey check out my music". no one is forcing you to follow them if you dont actually like their music.
