Joseph Kony is the world’s worst war criminal. In 1987 he took over leadership of an existing rebel group and renamed it the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).
The LRA has earned a reputation for its cruel and brutal tactics. When Joseph Kony found himself running out of fighters, he started abducting children to be soldiers in his army or “wives” for his officers. The LRA is encouraged to rape, mutilate, and kill civilians–often with blunt weapons.
The LRA is no longer active in northern Uganda (where it originated) but it continues its campaign of violence in Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan. In its 26-year history, the LRA has abducted more than 30,000 children and displaced at least 2.1 million people.
Share and thumbs this up this to make Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

i watched it all
over 8 years that guy hasmnaged to garner enough public support in america to have the US government dispatch 100 'advisors' to aid the Ugandan army in his capture. that happened in october last year.
they fear that by the end of this year, having changed his tactics, going into hiding knowing the US govt has finally taken notice of him, and with public support stagnating that the US govt will withdraw support and Kony will evade capture.
so the idea is to make him known enough in enough households for the senate to not be able to ignore the publics demands and to pursue him harder and with more force.
basically its the first time America has sent soldiers out into a war zone simply on the strength of public demand (apparently) and not to 'protect its national security or financial stability' and this, to the film make has set a precedent that not only can they stop Kony, but also that by making people aware and even passively involved we somewhat switch the balance of power away from financial and media interest, and more in the hands of the people to force the government to act in a more ethical way.
as cheesy as the vid is you cant argue with what he's doing or saying, even with the sweet dub drops and street art

same here, havent had time to watch it yet, although i do know what its about
i do think its funny how america starts shit in iraq and other countries under the guise of "liberating the people" while situations like this go largely ignored (minus the 100 or so us soldiers currently stationed there?)

Seems like a really good campaign...but it seems that the options to help with this are limited to Americans.
They talk about the whole world but really, they have only given us information on how American people can help...not the rest of us.

Guy who made that video should be very proud. Yeah its a bit cheesey but extremely powerful and well made.. and for a good cause. Not gunna lie I had no idea who he was before watching that, which is ridiculous considering hes the ICCs most wanted fugative.
