Hey everybody, this is a new tune i just finished up this morning....Please let me know what you like/dislike about the tune....im going to make another version of this tune with alot less midrange shit in it, I just started splitting up my frequencies, before I tried to design my basslines with all the frequencies mid and high all in one package, but this just becomes a set back when trying to do certain things, so no im splitting everything, like you all suggested in random posts, and its working out well i think....I owe you guys alot from what i've learned on this site....thank you

I like it, but i found it a bit boring to listen to, but that's just personal taste.

It has this.... Incredibly dry sound overall.
Not a lot of movement, and the soundscape is pretty desolate. Add some subtle hats or a cymbal ride to the high register. Divide the existing sounds. The space is three-dimensional, after all - use that. Reverberation, panning, stereo separation, delays, whatnot. Make it more interesting. The idea is good, but... It's lacking energy. Good skill to you!

Thank you guys for listening...and thanks for your input....I know it's boring as hell....I have spent alot of time learning how to make decent sounds, and am just getting started on structure which means I've got alot of work ahead of me still...also trying to learn my new speakers aswell....Will definitely be doing alot more work to the drums, Thank you guys for the advice/critiquing

no hats = no energy

i think its quite nice some nice sounds used and sounds like you've put quite alot of work into it. when it drops it sounds a bit too on the happy side though, maybe switch some of these notes from major -> minor i think it will sound a bit nicer. also the 2nd drop at like 2:50 should come in a bit earlier, like halfway throughy the first drop. but still on the minor side, then maybe switch to a major/happy sound in a breakdown just to switch things up a bit and go back to the darker side of things later on. like people have said some hi hats and claps would add some interest. and try find some vocal shouts/samples from somewhere to lively the place up a bit. really isnt as bad as people say it is i think its quite an interesting tune and well produced to some extent.

if you really dont want hats you could probaly get the same energy it needs from some more percussion(wood blocks.congos,bongos,ect.)
