It's not in the Sample.
Levels not clipping.

Cause? Remedy? :u:
I'm in Logic, if it helps...

Maybe your sampler is starting the sample in the middle of a waveform? I know in FL this can cause problems. That's the only time I've encountered clicks or pops that were not supposed to be there.

Where is the location of the click with respect to the sample?
Try tweaking ASDR on both the sample amp envelope and also on your compressor settings.

Yeah, this too. Sometimes turning up the attack slightly completely fixes the problem. If you lose your transient, then layer it with another (quieter) kick too. But this is a workaround to a problem you probably shouldn't have.

70% sure that this is the problem.

zoom in and be sure it is cut on a zero crossing.

Ok so this is the second thread that has been made about this after I had made one about this like 2 years ago. I got fucking raged at because it was supposedly simple and common knowledge on how to fix this, but this thread and the previous one got nothing but help.

Fuck you guys that's bullshit.

You haven't figured out the negative effect you have on people yet?

Haha it doesn't take a negative attitude to get raged at.

You can be happy and enthusiastic and it still happens. ;)

I know this all too well.

When a sample starts at a point that isn't zero it will click. Zoom in on the audio sample and make sure the start is flat. The click is a speaker trying to start a sound from the cone being pushed out. It's impossible for a cone to get to this position instantly so it clicks.

Hope that helps

like filthzilla (silly name imo, but I digress) said, you can eq it out. I make subbass in massive, and it clicks and pops when the note goes off- so I throw a LP eq on it around 100hz.

Load it into audacity or whatever and add a bit of silence to the start of it; if your sampler has the option to "trim" (as in, take out silence in a samples start) this'll get rid of it!

not missing a single chance to act a total arrogant tnuc, and knowing it, but still doing it... will get you parred time and time again

Also, Chad, your question, iirc, was about a sub you were synthing yourself. And you got help finding your solution.. this issue is concerning a sample, so that opens up a whole other realm of diagnostics and possible solutions.

anyway, the click might also be the sample's tail cutting off at a non-zero crossing. depends if it's occurring during attack or decay
good luck

Are you using ASIO or not? Audio artifacts in low frequencies can occur if you're using a high-latency driver.

low pass on end of chain. bounce out the filtered 808 and replace the old one that pops with the new one that doesn't.

or longer attack on the sample.

It's the zero-crossing point. End of
