Mixing Alvin Risk Style Synths.

Having a shot at making some moombahton but i'm finding it really hard to mix in the two different types of sounds I've got. I've got the sorts of basses I normally use (listen to any of my tracks, you'll see, them sort of digitally, grainy wide sounding things) then I've got an alvin risk style laser sound and when it changes from my usual sounds to the laser, there's obviously a huge change in dynamics and the track soon sounds empty. I've done the same with the laser that I normally do with all of my basses where I take out all of the bottom end and create a sub that follows the notes to fill the bottom end back out, but it still sounds empty.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to use 2 totally different sounds in track right after each other without having a massive loss in dynamics?

Thanks

You could try whitenoise, a subtle pad or a chord stab behind the lazer synth to fill it out. Also try adding width to the lazer?

Send all your bass synths to a bus with compression on it maybe? Not really that sure what you mean though.

Distort the lower end of the laser, and some other effects. Layer with a pad or another synth
