A triplet is simply 3 beats in the time that you would usually have 4. Don't know the track you're talking about.

a triplet, in musical theory terms is, 3 drums/ sounds/ notes grouped together, over the space of 2 beats (if they were crotchets).
not sure what you mean regarding the gambia however, its just standard 4/4 so you mix it exactly the same as any other dance record

Ok, on Mensahs facebook page he said 'It has a triplet beat pattern' after i mentioned i wasnt sure what to do with it and suggested i try mixing it with Pinch - The Boxer (Darqwan remix).
Haven't listened to that Pinch track yet but still, even if they do mix together well with them both having a triplet beat pattern i'm not sure how im supposed to 'get out' of tracks with that beat pattern.

the Darqwan remix of the boxer is one of my favourite tunes. As for mixing, they both are still in 4/4 and it still can be mixed in and out fine, just make sure your eqing is on point so it doesn't clash.
I've been mixing The Gambia quite a bit recently and haven't had any issues.

Triplets are 3 beats in the space of two. Sextuplets are 6 beats in the space of two (which is the same as 3 beats in the space of one beat, depending on the length of the phrase).
Triplets don't really relate exactly to time signature though: you can have triplets over 4/4 with no dramas. 12/8 is the triplet version of 4/4 pretty much.

There are loads of triplet heavy dubstep tracks, and it will make your life easier playing them after each other in a set. Also, tracks in a heavy swing timing such as Cyrus - In the Background or Silkie - Poltigeist usually blend well with a triplet-heavy track.
