My god that is fucking horrendous*. It sounds very much like someone has written their song, then decided to 'dubstep it' and just used the first sound they find upon googling "sick dubstep bass".
*I don't know why I would have expected anything else.

This. Exactly what I felt. Seems like they wrote a song, then just ran it through a dubstep filter.

It's become the same sort of thing in all pop music as using a rap, house/electro, dnb (or whatever) section just thrown in to any old song to widen the fanbase slightly.
Though at the beginning I was predicting one of those trance tunes that are, for some reason, being called dubstep now. I guess if you put a stupid enough snare sound in any song it will become dubstep.
Yes. I enjoy being negative.

I wasn't expecting that to be as bad as it was, but it was.
One of the comments from YT...
"dubstep taking over mofuckaz"
Is this real life?

In fairness i've heard worse, but yeah, they could have easily avoided butchering that song.

i'm gonna come out and say that the tune isn't even that bad.. yes the bass sound is terribly amateurish and done in a rush and the chord progression is probably the most used progression ever in a wobbly tune, but tbh if i had heard this in like 2009 i'd probably love it

Every tune of that guy's in this thread seems to try an cash in on some popular underground sound, Dubstep in the first, DnB in the second and Uk Funky in the third. It's a shame because the guy has a decent voice and seems to write some decent material, but he should be firing his producers. Actually he's probably making money hand over fist, so fuck integrity.

This defies logic. Poorly produced, musically very dull and not the tiniest bit original or thought provoking. It's not bad because?
How can people set out to make the blandest, most hackneyed piece of shit possible and be satisfied?
Obviously it's not just this guy, this could have been said about a ton of 'artists'. It's just weird that there is not even a thought of quality control, easy money I guess.

Easy money.
It was like that electro phase Roll Deep went through. Horribly derivative music, yet two number ones that sold more than any of their previous albums or mixtapes put together. I don't mind so much when an artist will do it 'on the side' to make a living. But when some nobody jumps in to cash in on the in-sound its disgusting.
