I used to like a lot of old breaks stuff when I started to get bored with dnb and hadn't quite discovered dubstep. All about the more experimental sorta stuff like Tipper and BreakBeatBuddha (his album Mind Bombin' is great, he went on to become Propa Tingz), also Bassnectar's really old stuff is pretty good breakbeat. ILS are wicked too, their album Bohemia is a gooden. Then you got Fat Of The Land era Prodigy. Chemical Brothers. Ctrl+Z & Skrewface, Merka. And then obv the garagey sorta stuff like Jammin' and the bingo beats stuff, Afghan Headspin who used to be Resonant Evil if anyones into their dnb.
Overall though, i find breaks quite shit... was a bit of a phase for me

Some of the best breakbeat is being made these days by non 'breaks' producers, i.e. Coleco 'Campfire Funk', Pearson Sound's Deep Inside remix, Sully, Falty DL, Skream etc
Loved it all up until around 2004 but tbh most of it hasn't aged very well.
Like anything though, the best still sounds fresh:
