I know this is not an ordinary question for a dubstep forum, but i need to know

How they are made?
For example, at the beginning of that track, what's that?

lol. that beginning is a sample that got rinsed so heavily in the 90s in can induce either a cheesy smile or a cringe. i'd advise against using it... but seriously just go troll a bunch of tunes until you find a good quality break with it, just sample it cuz that's what they did (or actually it probably came with samplers they were using)
sounds like almost ALL of this tracks sounds come from manipulating samples with a sequencer.

I guessed it. But i don't need that particular sample, i wanna know how they manupilated samples to sound like that. There's a lot of similar sounds in other oldschool hardcore tunes.

Btw, we copied 80s stuff for about a decade, what's wrong with contextualizing some 90s sounds now? You could not like it, but a lot of people do. Zomby did an awesome work with "where were you in '92" and then you see new trends like seapunk and mutant bass, taking a lot from 90s. That's just my opinion

I recognize sampled piano chords sometimes, but then? I don't understand what instruments they sampled There must be some kind of distortion i think...

or they were limited by their samplers bitrate at the time, recorded it hot, or had a dirty record they sampled
usually the simplest answer is the solution

also if you wanna know what the original sample was, sample it and go down your keyboard till it's recognizable

no you got me wrong. i love old rave.

but deadly's got it right... there's no trick.... load a sample and play up and down the keyboard. in those days samplers had lower bit rate. so you could try matching it with a lo-fi plugin and some filters.

as for the original samples..... they were working with whatever they had that sounded good. you could hunt around for sample packs from old rom cartridges and whatnot. or you could just use your ears and sample things that seem like they might do well in an oldschool rave tune. the process hasn't changed in 20 years.. just been refined.

try vintagesynthexplorer.com to do research (look up old samplers) and then once you find some machines, google sample packs.

It was piano+sine+some sampled aah in one key-we had only 2,5 sec in 90 to samle.
