Well fuck..

So I tried to install a new plug-in on my mac.
Out of the blue: shit needs to know my password of my mac.
What the flying shit? I can't remember entering a password for my mac. After 30 minutes of trying all my passwords, nothing works.
tl;dr: Mac got a password, can't install shit, can't change password. How fucked am I?

What does this have to do with a trojan horse?
My mac just set a password out of the blue and I can't seem to remember it, nor can I change it. Any hints on how can I can fix this? I tried punching but that had no avail.

Odd, I get prompted every time I download something for the admin password, which I never set. Weird that it only asked you this once but not ever before. You're going to need your disks to reset the admin password, if you've got those there are walkthroughs all over
edit: beaten i hate you all

Ye I vaguely remember needing to enter it once but it never asked for it beyond that, until now, which is odd. But I got it now, wrote it down on my wall so I won't forget. Thanks anyway!

Yes - its an Administrator Password you would have been required to set when you first set up your Mac. Like others, I am surprised that it has only asked you to enter in the password recently. Anytime I install anything new (especially if downloaded from the Web) I have to provide the password.
However, I went a step further and made it password protected anytime it goes to Sleep, etc.
