Hah, if my first single does well, maybe I can comission a remix?

Quaffing Guinness with the man after ten hours on a plane leaves little time for the studio. Next year?

And yes, nothign but love for the Joke, one of the brtter live shows I've seen.

Love Killing Joke. I've been listening to them since 1981. Jaz Coleman and Anne Dudley's Songs for the Victorious City has its moments, too.

It's funny, just last night I was listening to Distance's remix of Dub Child's Mount Zion on Built for Boundaries Vol 1 and thinking there had to be some way to combine Killing Joke and dubstep.

I interviewed Killing Joke once in arehearsl studio just off Shepherd's Bush. Jaz was a pretty wacky character. I had a toot with him while he explained paganism, lay lines and what exactly was a killing joke. A sort of cruel irony of socio-political manipulation - or something like that. Then Youth arrived - jaz went to a pulpit where he had his lyrics (allegedly nicked from a church - the pulpit not the lyrics!) and after kicking my taperecorder (I think he wanted to prove he was a bit punk rock and that) I concluded the little chat. They were into dub - abit jealous of Joy Division - who were getting massive props at the time and were anti-religion (I think he went to a strict catholic scjool or sth like that...
