Hi guys, after the final and overdue death of my PC, I am on the hunt for a new laptop to aid me in my productions(as well as taking it more seriously lol).
Now I don't know too much about the technical side of things, and this is the reason I'm here.
I know what I want - ish, I know for bigger productions, more tracks running easier etc, multi cores are a good option(dual, quad etc).
USB slots are good obviously, I think 3 is about average nowadays.
Obviously memory is a must, but nowadays it,s not an issue really, even relativley 'cheap' laptops have a lot of memory.
RAM, how much is needed minimum, like 4, 6GB?

Anyway what I'm after is anything you guys think would be essential, or not needed, and any laptop suggestions or other sources of info would be grand too.

I have up to £500 to spare by the way

thats a pretty legit computer, only thing id possibly suggest is get something with a firewire port so if you need to you can get a firewire audio interface for less latency
