sorry for taking ages reply - only just came back on here!

To make it heavier I'd just wack some sub underneath the bass. Just a pure sine wave, with a tad of reverb. Have a play with distortion/filters etc but try not to take the natural feel from it. It needs to be lower than everything else - felt more than heard. Hope that helps :)
