Switch of "Automation" in Massive?

hey i got a prob thats really pissing me off!! i use akai mpk mini and i assign a knob to any knob in massive via midi learn. the problem starts after i moved my knob on akai: massive somehow always repeats the last movement i did on that knob. is there any way to switch this "automation" off? i just want the knob in massive to stand still as long as i dont move it! cheers

Maybe assign the knob on your akai to a macro instead of a parameter in massive? What exactly is happening? Like, you move a knob half the arc, and it takes a second for massive to respond? Or, you move something, and it moves back when you stop moving it? I'm so confused, haha.

yeah i do my best - hard to explain in english! :D firstly thanks for your reply.
i doesn't matter whether i assign it to macros or parameters. i'll try to describe a bit precisely: i link my knob on akai to a parameter/macro in massive. if i move my knob on akai, the correspondent knob in massive moves in the perfect same way as my knob on akai! everything is fine until here. now when i stop moving my knob on akai the corresponding knob in massive shouldn't be moving, too. but instead it REPEATS the same movement which i have JUST DONE with my knob on akai with each bar. i assume that massive somehow saves the movements i do on particular parameters during midi learn-mode as some sort of programmed automation. i just very disturbing when you are trying to get your sound right - i need to turn it off!

It sounds like you are recording automation? Are you setting up you midi while the track is playing?

Yea, but its also behaving this way when i link the parameters while the track isn't playing!

Have you resolved your problem? If not, just curious, what DAW are you using? In FL and Ableton, when I open up Massive as a VST, I can tweak my knobs and Massive will follow, but it stays where I leave it, which I'm assuming is what you want? However, if I am recording MIDI notes/values, that particular clip that I record will copy the automation (and only that clip, it returns to where I had it originally if I play another clip)

Are you saying that when you use knobs to automate a sound while you're playing it, it continues the automation again and again for every note you play?

Nope, not yet. :( I use Ableton. Usually i record any melody into a clip and AFTERWARDS tweak the sound via my knobs! This is also where i get trouble with "automated" parameters in massive.

Look for any parameters that are labeled "Retrigger" or anything like that, it should be a button, or switch or something like that. Check it off on any of the boxs you find that are related to automation, also look around in ableton. I've never used it so i can't rattle a solution off the top of my head, but look around in preferences and see if you find anything related to automation that could be contributing to the problem. Also, make sure you're not accidently triggering the same automation clip over and over in the arrangement area (ableton has this right?), i know that i've put a automation clip in my arrangment area, then added some stuff to it, and it's overlapping, so it just repeats the same 4 bars of automation, where it should've changed over 8 bars or whatever. Let us know if you still can't sort it out. :)

I use an 808 for a sub or a kick.. its a dope sound, depends on how you use it
