the auric shine over grass & leaves
from a silently westering sun
will inspire us long after I

just as the mysteries of death
will have us speculate
till our species vanishes

but consider this:
from where we've come
is to where we will go

and even this small mind,
in it's fleeting existence,
senses future & past are same

within a soft realization
that nothing meets all
and fear sheds with skin

o ok
if you insist I'll explain
it would be petty to be provocative for no positive outcome, wouldn't it?

it makes sense
that from where we come
is to where we return
(otherwise life is a transformative event...unlikely, beyond itself, unless you believe in a karmic cycle that ultimately transcends the need to live as an individual in ideal unmanifestation)
we may, feasibly, remain in that state whilst life makes us temporarily conscious
but the comforting thought is
that we've already been where we are going

crudely,
we've already been dead
it's nothing new
it's our normal state
in which we conjoin
feel no dis-ease
no worries

being alive
we can feel comfort in that,
relax and enjoy who we are
and all the other godheads that pop up around us

such as wub & Jabba Norks

don't you reckon that's cool?

Which was what my Family Guy clip was referencing...honestly, I'm not sure of the hostility at times :(

if you really need to present your opinions in an obscure and self absorbed manner, why not just tattoo them onto your own face and take a photo.

not when he uses clever wordplay like "feel no dis-ease" or lets a particularly profound line simply trail off with enviable insouciance.

^I wouldn't consider that clever because I've seen it used before to distinguish the lack of ease from having an illness but I like your phrase "enviable insouciance", though puzzled that suddenly you sound conciliatory. Do you understand the term "trope"?
^^I do, sometimes
^^^ :D
^^^^because that be the path of the lost & soccer hooligans
@wub aw, mate, I was laughing when I included you in that comment...

it might actually be a slightly clever line if it weren't for that arrogant little hyphen crudely advertising its own duplicity.

still keep up the good work, I send your poems as christmas cards to people I particularly dislike.

well then,
welcome
& nice to see you care

now,
having confronted the hunchback gatekeeper,
as the easy way to establish amongst the onlookers,
your credentials as a macho, no-nonsense gal

go amongst your new friends
be loved & admired

Jeez it's getting harder to squirt some lines on a Friday night contemplation of existence after working week drudge
without it all having to be relevant or meaningful to the semi-illiterate.
What's going on?
Anything, but dubstep, that's not salacious or libellous goes on here, right?
No rules about it not being pretentious or irritating.
