My first tune
Happy with the drums but they need tweaking
Used a very badly recorded sample which needs changing
Also want the low frequency's to have much more punch to it!
Feedback & Tips would be great since I'm new to production

Not sure if it's my headphones, but I can only really hear a simple percussion loop with a lot of reverb, sorry.

Aha listening back I do feel I have added way way way too much reverb! and I feel I've made the low frequency's too low because I do struggle to hear some of the bass notes at points.
As I said I'm new to production & I'm gonna work on this 'til I've got it just right
Cheers for listening & feedback though, much appreciated

i got the bass, it isn't too low but I suspect your drums are muddying up the low end as the sub seems to dissapear when they kick in.
Try some basic eq on your dums and make sure that they are peaking around 100hz that way your sub will breathe a bit better.
Also, as has been noted, your reverb is a bit too over the top. Nice effort though.

Respect mate! I'm gonna work on the EQ now
Also I've already reduced the reverb because it was just ridiculous & not in a good way ahaha

^Do think it sounds a lot better^
Cheers for the feedback!

Yeah, already sounding much better. I think once you have sorted out the clashing frequencies it will sound really good. Great effort for a first production, keep it up.

Cheers mate
Sorted out the sub, messed around with the EQ and It sounds much better
need to tweak the EQ a bit more though because there's still a bit of clashing going on
Soundcloud
Anymore tips on how to improve it?

Some feedback on this would be greatly appreciated
I'm aware that it's needing to be compressed & I'm needing to sort the EQ out
I feel it's missing something, just feels empty in a way and I'm unsure what to add
Some help would be great

I have trouble hearing and feeling the sub bass on my TMA's. I guess it's too low.
And even if an important part of dubstep is the sub, don't make it too subby. Also, think that not all people are listening to a track on nice listening devices, with headphones going below 50hz for example.
If i were you, i'd add a lil bit of distortion on the sub so that it has a tiny bit of high end. What about a bit of classic tube ?
That way, if you're not on your subwoofer home but listening on a poor system (car), even if you can't feel the hit in the chest, you hear the high end that reminds you of the sub, and therefore of the hit you would have taken if you listened to the track on your home system.
Dunno if it's clear, but long story short : don't have your sub that low + add a super tiny bit of mid/high to the sub so that even if we can't really feel it, we can hear it.
