Logic for Production?

So I've always used Ableton Live for Production, but just the Demo, I've been using it for about a year now and have gotten somewhat proficient with it, but now I want to buy it.
For price reasons I'm considering purchasing Logic instead of Ableton because its about half price. So please put in any input you have about Logic for production, anything, reviews, what its good for, etc. Thank you!

Use whatever you're comfy with. I use Ableton Suite and I love it so much! It's just a fun DAW, it makes production fun. I started with FL, moved to Reason, and then stuck with Ableton in the end, I occasionally use Ableton rewired with Reason.. just because Reason has amazing soft synths!

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'd like to get Ableton, but the thing is I do some work with Audio also, and Logic is much better for that..

logics stock plugins blow abletons out of the water and its much cheaper. id say its worth learning just for that. i dont think its that tricky to learn either. everything is pretty much laid out...well...logically. i couldnt figure out how ableton worked for a while but logic was fairly easy to pick up on.

Yeah I found it pretty easy to learn too. Each to his own though, my friend's coming from Ableton and he pulls his hair out over Logic's set up, so everyone takes to different layouts

All preference my man. I used to use live, still use it for certain things. But I produce in logic. Just out of preference. I suppose i like the look better and the mixer is dope.

I haven't ever worked with controllers/software for live performance, so I wouldn't know. Doesn't ableton just sync the tracks for you?

tried a few DAWs for production.. Logic was the easiest.. logic was the best, logics plugs are the easiest too work with and achieve a good sound..

if you wanted too go logic for the cheaper option, it would not be a silly move, logic is next level.

I use both and I could never say one is better than the other. They're both excellent DAWs and even better when used together!

How do you use them together? Like which do you use for what?

Rewiring, bouncing sounds out of logic and then into ableton and vice-versa. I really like some of logic's synths and I really like how midi routable ableton is so I tend to get different sounds out of it than I do with logic.

Logic is a very complete daw that comes with everything you need to make music from the minute your install it.
Honestly learn every aspect of every window and you will soon realise there isn't much logic can't do.
