So I went and saw bassnectar both nights at red rocks last week after I stupidly watching a video called "The illuminati in the music industry".

Calling bullshit i didn't think much. But the visuals at the show... Flashes of triangles all.. night.. long... Then I go see Mt. Eden live. Again visuals of triangles all night long. Then i just noticed ill gates has a triangle with an eye on it. Dillon Francis's symbol is a triangle. Shits everywhere i don't get it.

Does anyone know why? Or what it represents?

A guy named Dan Brown wrote a couple of books, with the sole purpose of entertaining people. Among other things, he wrote about the Illuminati, a secret society that apparently runs tings. When those books became popular, people started paying attention to certain symbols they knew from the stories, and came up with huge conspiracy theories, all based on the baffling notion that a secret society would openly use symbols that have been discussed in some of the most popular and widely available books of all time.

EDIT - I'm not saying Dan Brown came up with the Illuminati thing, I'm saying a lot of people know the theory because of what he wrote..

It's not marketing, it's just what some people do and think fits their music/ethos...if you went to a jungle rave in the mid/late 90s, chances are the visuals (albeit basic at the time) would've included a lot of old rasta types smoking weed mixed in with urban landscapes in black & white. It's just the vibe.

yeah pretty much, the general audience for their music is twelve year olds (who consequently aren't able to attend these events), so dylan frances, lake eden, etc have to find ways to divert people who are older from their actual music. itt, we see successful marketing.

Come to think of it, they only showed up on his dark songs and it actually did make the shit seam strait demonic lol. Made skrillex sound/look like a little tiny vagina. *aura wise*

And btw... Ive seen everyone pretty much twice plus a lot of other genres. And that dude is a sonic genius. 2 full nights, didnt have the same set. And brought an aura that blew red rocks up. Not a lot of people/bands can fill red rocks like that. Nero came close but damn. Dont miss his show.
