Logic X(not release news)

Over on the logic board the rumours are starting again about the pending release of logic x.
In this thread http://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewt ... =1&t=84311 there are confirmed reports that they have just bought redmatical which is a audio software development company.
This is rather exciting for a logic user as we all know logic 9 really stepped up the daw wars and logic 10 is going to hopefully be bigger and better. The only thing i worry about is the acquisition of this company is something based around logic and this will probably put logic x even further back.
Anyway thought i would share this because there is a few Logic Pro heads on the board that will no doubt be masturbating like me at some point over the thought of the release being near.
I just can't wait to see how they grow the flex editor and its about time the exs24 was on par with kontakt.Exciting times people woooooopwwwooooop.

Its because of what happened with to final cut x,i can't see them stripping it back at all.
Why buy a audio app company if you are going to start focusing on cutting back a programme, does not make sense to me.
All I think they done with final cut was try to stream line it and some of the hardcore users didn't like it but I think its all good now so can't see apple making the same mistake with logic.

wait but I still don't understand, why the fuck would they cut it back? But yeah I'd hope it's not cut back. When this new version drops, I'm gonna buy it - it's time for an upgrade from logic express

I like all the competition between the DAWs, it makes us consumers get better products :w:

like i said they never cut back final cut pro they apparently stream lined it and done away with support for certain apps "i think".i really can't see them doing this with logic,it took them years to get the programme to where it is today and it has been outmuscling pro tools since logic pro 9(what i gather from reading on the interwebz gearslutz and the like)so why fuck all that work up.
What they are saying on the logic board is the guy who owned the company just bought has joint the logic development team again i think speculation but if its true it adds weight to the fact they are about to drop a very very big update of the logic daw,as i said before for me being a user for 8+years i am very very excited.

Everything about apple blows, their customer support is about as shit as it comes but thats why being married to a computer technician and having easy access to all info you need on t webz you don't really need the fuckers unless it's hardware related.
They just like big news and getting people buzzing about their products,i feel its done to try and increase revenue, the way i see it if it works which it obviously does with recent profit reports then good luck to them as long as they keep supporting Logic i'm a fan of their products.

I have been doing the music ting for roughly 10 years and its never been any different for competition, when i started out it was cubase v logic and logic v protools, reason was a baby trying to break the market and now look there is something for everone and it has exploded.A good thing in my opinion,i love the fact i can come here and share ideas, techniques and chat music shit to you boys.Everyone around me i get to do music with in the real world its all comparing dick sizes and combatant feedback so yeah i love you lot your great :W:

I'm happy for it to not be released anytime too soon, I'm broke! :6:

Although there are a few gripes I'm having atm, hopefully it will be more focused on fixing existing bugs than trying to cram more features in.

i've been using reaper for a week and i've messed around with ableton in the past too. both have some amazing features that i wish logic would implement. i'm not going to go into details because i'd be here all night. i do still prefer logic....i just hope that the guys developing logic x give it the overhaul it needs in certain areas while retaining the things i love about it.

I've been working with FL studio 10 because I'm doing a collab with someone and I want to claw my eyes out. Lets just say I prefer Ableton

One thing i wish they would implement is proper pan pots to the mixer, why oh why such a simple thing and you have to add a fucking plug.
Also a synth that will go head to head with all the heavy weights, the es2 is just pants and thats being kind......
I could go on and on and on but we will wait and see,i just dread the thought of them making it lion only and not supporting snow leopard, expect apple to deploy underhand tactics like this.

I remeber when i bought my virus ti,i got the money together and rushed out to buy it to find that it had only just been announced,i paid for it then waited nearly 10 months for its release,i sold my virus c to get it too :(

Is there something I'm missing about the pan pots in the mixer? Does the direction mixer or whatever the F it's called work better? I've never had issues with the mixer regarding panning.
