Big Basha a.k.a. Robert Matthews is an authority on bass music in Buffalo.
For this, the fifth Exit Music Mix, Basha is breaking down genre barriers.
The challenge of working with everything from hip hop, to Led Zeppelin,
dubstep, to the Roots, to his own personal productions is to make the
tracks feel like they’re cohesive; to make them feel like they belong
together even if the tracks have extremely varying characteristics.
“I went through a lot of hours sifting through my collection of digital music
to bring something ultimately fresh and up to date while aiming for the
total package,” Matthews said about this mix. “I’ve been into all types of
music my whole life and bringing it full circle has been my goal more
lately than ever before,” At almost 50 tracks and over an hour long this is
a huge mix from the leader of Frosty Tone so take some time this weekend
to throw it on the stereo and give it a couple of listens. Check out Big Basha
