Was just listening to this track here - http://soundcloud.com/aaa-productions/t ... the-matrix and I was wondering what kind of hits are used between the kick and snare to create the sort of shuffling effect. Are they like highpassed kicks/snares?

That's just a basic drum rhythm, light snare hits on all the offbeats. Just take the same sample you're using and lower the velocity on all those shuffling hits you're hearing.

If you're using FL, you just just turn up the swing halfway. Then render out your drums and turn it back to normal. It's what i've done. But the velocity thing does work as well.
